Shell Casing Cross Necklace
I make these unique necklaces from real rifle cartridges that have been shot and made completely safe.
After the round is shot, I cut and shape the sides to resemble a cross. I remove the primer, clean the brass then affix genuine Swarovski crystals in the flash hole or replace the spent primer.
Attached to a beautiful chain with antique bronze finish and a matching lobster claw closure, this makes a stunning and elegant necklace.
The necklace comes in several colors, including your birthstone. They also are available with the spent primer left in, for a more natural look. Either way you are sure to get lots of compliments on this unique necklace.
The length of the necklace is 16" with an additional 2" extender length included for a perfect fit. If you would like a different length please contact us for special order (no extra charge).
THREE SHOT VOLLEY
If you have been to funeral for a veteran, you may have witnessed a ceremony known as a "Three Shot Volley." Often this is mistaken for a "Twenty One Gun Salute." The three shot volley, is when several military persons (usually from 3-7) fire 3 shots simultaneously from rifles, or occasionally, handguns.
This comes from an old tradition of ceasefires at the end of a days battle to allow the dead and wounded soldiers to be removed from the battlefield. When the dead and wounded had been cared for, three shots were fired to signal that the battle could resume.
Having these shells made into cross necklaces is a great way to use these shells as a lovely, wearable, keepsakes to honor our loved ones.
Each of these crosses are individually handcrafted by me and therefore you should expect slight variations.
